See What Our Guests Say

  • “Leaving Fulmar Cottage today after our 2nd break this year at Broomhill. Wonderful week – weather great, facilities fabulous as last time. Thanks Alan, Linda and Toby. Wonderful recommendation to go to Nortcott Mouth beach – tide out, wonderful for dogs and great character Margaret Frost who runs the tea garden. Will definitely have to come back particularly as failed personal challenge of getting into the Sea Pool at Summerleaze Beach – good excuse for third holiday this year 🙂 “

The McEwens stayed in Fulmar with their dog Beau, July 2016
  • “Well, not Cornwall’s finest week weatherwise! But our 4yo and 1yo weren’t to know and enjoyed their “beach holiday” nonetheless. The indoor pool and playroom were life savers in the rain and we did get to many of the beaches – if briefly… Also brilliant were Helen and Katie at the stables for our 4yo’s pony ride. Generally terrified of animals, they got her on and riding – a huge confidence boost! We loved the local grocery shop on Lansdown Rd in town – a real treasure trove of local yummies! Had a great holiday!”

The Allen-Williams family stayed in Round House, July 2016
  • “Yet another great week. Broomhill is a great central place to visit many beautiful places. It’s always a pleasure to stay here”

Mr & Mrs Harrow stayed in Swallow, June 2016
  • “Another lovely stay here. Were here 5-6 years ago but this time we were blessed with a week of sunshine so were able to go on the beaches and outside pool.

The facilities are excellent & the garden, all the pots & baskets an absolute joy. Hope we shall be back”

The Stockwell/Tyler family stayed in Manor House Apartment, June 2016
  • “What a cottage + what a place! Thank you so much for your lovely hospitality. The kids loved every minute as did we. You have a unique and wonderful set up here at Broomhill and we will be talking of this as our first proper family holiday for many years! Facilities are great, I possibly wouldn’t leave the gardens if I had half the chance but we did. We ventured out to find a beach and wasn’t disappointed by Crackington Haven – great opportunity to do some serious rock pooling. Oh and Kelly’s ice creams! Thank you so much. We will be back again for sure!”

The Pike family stayed in Sandpiper, May 2016
  • “This is our first time at Broomhill Manor and I am sure that it will not be our last. The cottage is absolutely lovely, a real home from home. The complimentary scones and cream were a very welcome surprise and Dexter the Labrador was very excited by the dog biscuits! The cottage was lovely and clean and had all of the amenities we could want and more.

The site itself is lovely and we have made good use of the pool, games room, tennis court and bar. Thank you Alan and Linda for a wonderful few days. I hope we can come back again soon.”

The Tyler-Smiths stayed in Fulmar with Dexter their Labrador, May 2016
  • “Fantastic holiday! (Round House) cottage is cosy and well-equipped and really lovely. Great location and lots to do on site if you don’t feel like venturing far. Our 16-month old had a fab time in the pool and play room. Pottered around Bude one day, Tintagel Castle and Morewellham Quay – both worth a visit. Lovely garden for a BBQ with grand parents who were staying in Grebe cottage. Looking forward to returning”

The Owen-Powells stayed in Round House and Grebe, May 2016
  • “This has been one of our favourite holidays ever! You made us feel right at home immediately. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our walks around the estate – thank you for sharing your beautiful home”

The Moran family stayed in Round House, May 2016
  • “This is our first visit to Broomhill and as a family we stayed in Puffin, Seagull and Fulmar. We’ve all had a fantastic week and made full use of the pool, bar, snooker, games room, tennis court and archery. There has been something for everyone and the kids haven’t been short of things to do. We’ve had plenty of days out and can recommend Bude beach, Port Isaac and Padstow. Alan and Linda have made us feel very welcome and provide a lovely, comfortable environment that is safe for the kids to run around. The cottages are beautiful and have everything we needed. We are already thinking about our next stay”

The Vowles family stayed in Puffin, Seagull and Fulmar Cottages, April 2016
  • “We had a lovely stay here again at Broomhill Manor. We enjoyed the archery – even Alex (aged 5) was able to have a go. Sophie (aged 8) was very good…..We made good use of the BBQ and hot tub!! Our favourite!! Looking forward to coming back one day.”

The White Family stayed in Kingfisher, April 2016
  • “Thank you for the most amazing holiday at Broomhill. We had a wonderful apartment, very clean, comfy beds. The facilities are excellent as there is loads to do for the family. Our highlights were probably the archery, the Easter Egg hunt and the indoor pool. We went swimming almost every day and the pool was so warm…..We are definitely coming back next year for another amazing, awesome, brilliant holiday!”

The Ko/Halstead family stayed in Manor House Apartment, March 2016
  • “What a lovely holiday villa! Although the weather and good health were not on our side this time, we have no hesitation in recommending Broomhill Manor, Kingfisher lodge. We’ll be sure to return in warmer climes to make the most of your excellent facilities and get our toddler a pony ride

The Black family stayed in Kingfisher, February 2016
  • “We had an epic holiday at Broomhill once again. The weather was terrible but that didn’t stop us from having a great time. New Year’s Eve in the Manor house was really good fun. Thank you Alan and Linda.

We want to come here in the summer so we can go in the outside pool and maybe go horse riding.”

The Palmiero family stayed in Kittiwake, New Year 2015

Are we due an Indian Summer?

Well, we are still waiting for the first crop of 2016 tomatoes which are extremely late in ripening this year! An Indian Summer is definitely needed to avoid having to make jars and jars of green tomato relish! But the recent heat wave is making me hopeful of plenty of more sun to come!

As the summer wends its way towards its inevitable end, the north Cornwall coast is a great place to be!

Holidaying with Twins!

There is something very special about twins that seems to fascinate people you meet – especially when they see two very similar sized babies in the same pram or pushchair.

Being parents of twins ourselves – a boy and girl, now 13 years old, (known endearingly as “Pink” and “Blue” and usually dressed accordingly), there was a question I always waited for when out and about.

Sun, sea and ice cream – what could be better?!

As the days become longer and warmer, it’s time to grab a few days on the Cornish coast to get you in the mood for summer! The north Cornwall coast is a great place to be at any time of the year but the deserted beaches and wonderful cliff flowers make the spring and early summer even more special!
