It’s time to book a holiday – something that combines luxury and relaxation for you, with plenty to keep children of all ages happy, too.
Broomhill Manor is a small collection of self-catering cottages with facilities, set in beautiful, private grounds, and within walking distance of the quaint seaside town of Bude on the North Cornwall coast.
Being family owned and run, our aim is to provide a first class and memorable family holiday for you.
One of three cottages in the Well Courtyard, once part of the original stable block. The cottage is all on one level and opens onto a small secluded and safe courtyard at the front; a large patio door opens from the dining room onto a private garden with hot tub which is a welcome addition all year round!
Converted from an old cob barn, Fulmar features walls over two feet thick! Fulmar has been tastefully renovated recently in a contemporary style, and on the ground floor, comprises an open plan lounge and fully fitted luxury ‘Shaker’ style kitchen including dishwasher and a dining area.

One of six cottages forming the sunny Stable Courtyard and approached through the original stable archway. These cottages have been imaginatively converted from the old stables; Kittiwake has an attractive split level kitchen/dining room which overlooks an open plan lounge area below.
Our most quaint and charming property, with its unusual shaped windows and exposed low beams, was once the Gate Keeper’s Lodge. Roundhouse is detached and although still very close to the indoor pool and other amenities, is a slight distance away from the other cottages, offering its guests more privacy.

“Our 7th trip to Broomhill in the last 5 years. It never disappoints us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hot-tub was a real bonus and Cormorant is a great cottage to stay in. We did lots of horse riding and went in the swimming pool almost every day. We also enjoyed the games room and long country walks. 🙂 Everyone should go to The Tree Inn, but we also enjoyed The Preston Gate and Rosie’s. We enjoy going to use the Broomhill bar for drinks and playing lots of games.” Emily (9) and Alex (6) and FamilyThe Simpson family stayed in Cormorant, February 2017
“Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in a magical place. Being in the hot tub under the stars was truly magical. The dogs loved the beaches – and the dog biscuits! We’ll be back next year.”The Kelly family stayed in Woodlark, February 2017
“We thank Alan and Linda once again for a fabulous time at new year. Jessica was really good with the little kids entertainment. New Year here is lots of fun! We can’t wait to come back in August, maybe even before! We would like to give another big thank you to the whole team at Broomhill for making this such a lovely and amazing experience.”The Palmiero family stayed in Heron, New Year 2016/17
“First time at Broomhill and we all had a super time! So much to do both on site and in the surrounding area. With 2 young boys in tow (3yrs & 10 months) it was great to stay somewhere fully equipped for little ones. Certainly lessened the stress of packing & all the usual baggage! Visited lots of the local attractions including Tamar Otter Sanctuary….Launceston Steam Train to New Mills Activity Farm….Eden Project…Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches…
For the Adults, we would highly recommend Hazel who has a lovely range of treatments. The back massage was bliss! All in all a wonderful break away & would love to come back. Thanks to Alan & Linda for providing such a wonderful and happy place to stay and hopefully we will see you sometime soon!”The Collingridge family stayed in Nightingale, September 2016
“We’ve had a lovely family holiday. The facilities are great and the children’s swimming has come on leaps and bounds!!”The Wink family stayed in Swallow and Sandpiper, September 2016
“We’ve had a lovely week, thank you Alan & Linda. The weather has been mixed – but the beauty of Broomhill and why we booked, is that there’s plenty to entertain a toddler in the rain! We’ve been to the beach many times (Summerleaze & Crooklets). Recommend Crooklets with the little one for the play areas. We ate at Rosie’s a couple of times too. Our 18 month old son had his first pony ride on Suzie. In fact it was a holiday of firsts as I got to pull my first pint in the bar! The place has really exceeded our expectations!”The Healey family stayed in Cormorant, September 2016
“We arrived home yesterday from a week at Broomhill & just wanted to say thankyou for making our stay so comfortable. We stayed in Swallow & our family in Chough. The cottages were of a very high standard & very comfortable & very well equipped. You have thought of everything. The whole complex has a lovely family atmosphere & is very peaceful at night. We enjoyed the two pools & picnicked in the lovely gardens which are very well cared for. The laundry & games room are a great thing to have on sight & again very well looked after. We will definitely be returning to Broomhill & recommend it to our friends.”The Bazely family stayed in Swallow and Chough, September 2016
“This is our first stay at Broomhill Manor and it won’t be our last. The cottage has everything you need which was great as so often this isn’t the case and I’m sure if we needed anything it would have been provided. Our girls (13+11) have had a brilliant time and have used the pools and games room on a daily basis and even when the weather hasn’t been to good there’s been plenty to keep them busy.
Finally the stables. Brilliant. The staff are very friendly and my girls who both ride, have learnt a lot from Katie. The horses and ponies are well looked after and very good for either beginning or more experienced riders. I would highly recommend a lesson or hack.
We intend to come back next year and I hope you have a holiday as good as we have!”The Thomson family stayed in Puffin, August 2016
“Another amazing week at Broomhill Manor. The cottage was so cosy and welcoming. The hot tub was such a bonus as we used it almost every night. The weather has been beautiful, which has made the refurbished pool a sun trap.
Thanks for a good stay, hope to see you soon!”The Slack family stayed in Nightingale, August 2016
“Another wonderful week at Broomhill. Really enjoyed the outdoor pool and its temperature! The double decker bunk bed was a real hit with the little ones, who will surely be disappointed to return home to a normal bed! We also took part in the archery again this year and had a great time. I would really recommend the archery to everyone. The children were overjoyed at the pony rides they had and I should have booked for ourselves to ride with them so that we could share the experience.
Thanks for another lovely week!”The Howell family stayed in Woodpecker, August 2016
“This is a great place to vacation for a family. We had a blast! The children really loved the swimming pools which they used almost everyday. The owners seem to have put a lot of effort into the details and it was evident. This is our first time here and we’d seriously consider returning for more family holidays!”The Frederick family stayed in Chough with their twins and 3yo, August 2016
“We have had such a wonderful and relaxing week – Broomhill is such a lovely place! Thank you to everyone for being so friendly – it made the holiday! We highly recommend the daily croissants and pain au chocolat – delicious! We also loved the outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, hanging baskets and the games room.”The Meyfroidt family stayed in Kittiwake, July 2016
“Spent a lovely week here in Swallow (one bedroom). Really pleased with Broomhill. Facilities excellent for us and our toddler. Perfect base for a week on the Cornish/Devon border. We will definitely come again but we will book a larger cottage to escape from the child! Blessed with the weather – only one poor day but we still had plenty to do here. Lovely week”The Kavanaghs stayed in Swallow with their toddler, July 2016
“A great week in a lovely location! Both the pools were great and we enjoyed the horse riding, playroom, gym and the bar! Nicky’s food was good too. Beach days were great and we’d recommend Widemouth, Summerleaze and Crooklets. Tintagel was great too. Thanks to Alan and Linda for a nice stay”The McCardles stayed in Dunlin, July 2016
“Leaving Fulmar Cottage today after our 2nd break this year at Broomhill. Wonderful week – weather great, facilities fabulous as last time. Thanks Alan, Linda and Toby. Wonderful recommendation to go to Nortcott Mouth beach – tide out, wonderful for dogs and great character Margaret Frost who runs the tea garden. Will definitely have to come back particularly as failed personal challenge of getting into the Sea Pool at Summerleaze Beach – good excuse for third holiday this year 🙂 “The McEwens stayed in Fulmar with their dog Beau, July 2016
“Well, not Cornwall’s finest week weatherwise! But our 4yo and 1yo weren’t to know and enjoyed their “beach holiday” nonetheless. The indoor pool and playroom were life savers in the rain and we did get to many of the beaches – if briefly… Also brilliant were Helen and Katie at the stables for our 4yo’s pony ride. Generally terrified of animals, they got her on and riding – a huge confidence boost! We loved the local grocery shop on Lansdown Rd in town – a real treasure trove of local yummies! Had a great holiday!”The Allen-Williams family stayed in Round House, July 2016
“Yet another great week. Broomhill is a great central place to visit many beautiful places. It’s always a pleasure to stay here”Mr & Mrs Harrow stayed in Swallow, June 2016
“Another lovely stay here. Were here 5-6 years ago but this time we were blessed with a week of sunshine so were able to go on the beaches and outside pool.
The facilities are excellent & the garden, all the pots & baskets an absolute joy. Hope we shall be back”The Stockwell/Tyler family stayed in Manor House Apartment, June 2016
“What a cottage + what a place! Thank you so much for your lovely hospitality. The kids loved every minute as did we. You have a unique and wonderful set up here at Broomhill and we will be talking of this as our first proper family holiday for many years! Facilities are great, I possibly wouldn’t leave the gardens if I had half the chance but we did. We ventured out to find a beach and wasn’t disappointed by Crackington Haven – great opportunity to do some serious rock pooling. Oh and Kelly’s ice creams! Thank you so much. We will be back again for sure!”The Pike family stayed in Sandpiper, May 2016
“This is our first time at Broomhill Manor and I am sure that it will not be our last. The cottage is absolutely lovely, a real home from home. The complimentary scones and cream were a very welcome surprise and Dexter the Labrador was very excited by the dog biscuits! The cottage was lovely and clean and had all of the amenities we could want and more.
The site itself is lovely and we have made good use of the pool, games room, tennis court and bar. Thank you Alan and Linda for a wonderful few days. I hope we can come back again soon.”The Tyler-Smiths stayed in Fulmar with Dexter their Labrador, May 2016
