If you have pre-school children, you will know only too well how demanding and tiring it can be to provide the constant attention they require! Given the amount of equipment you seem to need for a baby or toddler, the idea of a taking a flight or a staying in a hotel is too daunting to contemplate! Broomhill Manor is ideally suited to provide a balance between a holiday that the kids will love, with an environment that gives you a break also. The secluded location of Broomhill with its magnificent lawn and car free cottage areas, means that children have plenty of room to run around and play in safety. No matter what time of the year and whatever the weather, there are many things to keep your little people happy here at Broomhill.
Keeping the little ones happy Indoor activities include an indoor pool, which is kept at a comfortable 85°F and is an enjoyable place to teach toddler to swim. There is a very well equipped playroom which has been exclusively created for under 6’s and has a wide range of quality early learning toys for your toddler to enjoy. We also have a selection of toddler suitable DVD’s and videos to borrow, which are great favourites of our own 5-year old twins! Outdoors, there are even more things to entertain, stimulate and hopefully tire out your lively toddler! There are two separate play areas – one with swings, swinging tyre, slide, swing bridge, commando net and Wendy house and the second with swings, a lookout tower with slide and climbing nets, a trampoline and wooden fort. There is a sandpit the children adore and plenty of room for ball games; we also open the heated outdoor pool between May and October. And then of course there is the stables with ponies suitable for toddlers (and something much larger for mum or dad to have a go too!) Timmy the Shetland pony, is a firm favourite with the little ones and on a Sunday, their first ride is free of charge!
Baby and Toddler Equipment If you have ever packed up the car with everything baby needs for a trip away from home, you may well find the car full before you add the passengers! To help avoid this, we are able to provide a wide range of baby and toddler equipment free of charge; including travel cots, high chairs, stair gates, bed bars, electrical socket protectors, night lights and baby listeners. If you have a particular item you need, please ask – there is every chance we have one!
And making it a holiday for you too So, there are lots of things to keep the little ones happy, but what about you? Well hopefully we cater for you all at Broomhill Manor! Our Leisure Centre, open till 10pm, houses the indoor pool, Jacuzzi, gym, sauna and treatment room where you can unwind to a wide range of treatments designed to relax and pamper you! Some of the cottages have their own private gardens with hot-tubs, which whatever the weather, are a great way to chill out once baby has finally gone down for the night; we even offer home-cooked meals for you to pop in your oven ready for you to emerge relaxed and glowing! There is a licensed bar on site with a full-sized snooker table and other bar games; we can also offer babysitting for peace of mind if you should wish to go further afield to try one of the good local restaurants for a night of quality adult time.
