“We booked this last minute and both my daughter & I had a great time. The whole of the estate is fab and has ALL & more. Bude has lovely beaches and very friendly people. We didn’t want to leave and have started looking at when to book back again. This cottage is cosy and very peaceful and the grounds are beautiful. We will be back that is for sure. Thank you, Alan & Linda.”
“Really lovely to return to Broomhill Manor. We don’t often return to holiday destinations but we all loved our 2017 holiday and it was great to come back – a real home-from-home. Both boys loved the pools and the beaches, especially Summerleaze, where they got to try out their shortie wetsuits and body boards. I’m sure we will be back again soon – Broomhill Manor is a very special place.”
“What an amazing week in Broomhill Manor. The cottage is well-equipped and the beds were comfy. Sitting outside for breakfast, lunch & dinner was great. Highlights included the outdoor pool, indoor pool & tennis court. The kids also loved the games room & sand pit. We were happy to let the kids explore the grounds by themselves – they didn’t go far! Would recommend Margaret’s Rustic Tea Garden at Northcott Beach for a cream tea. The archery and pony rides are great activities onsite and we spent time in Bude surfing & shopping. Thank you for a lovely holiday!”
“We all liked the games room the indoor pool and the outdoor one. We liked the tennis court too. We also liked the cottage because me and my sister love bunk beds and the holiday because our friends are next door in Chough. It is very hot here. Thank you for our holiday. PS We liked horseback riding and the Eden Project and the beaches.”
“Thank you for the most fantastic family holiday. We have been so lucky with the weather and what a great find Broomhill has been. Bude is lovely, a trip to Eden Project and Archery even, ventured to Lands End have all helped our Cornwall experience. Broomhill’s facilities and activities have been second to none and a place we would very much recommend and hope to return to ourselves. Thanks again for one of our most memorable holidays”
“A whole week of fantastic sunshine & heat – what more can you ask for??!! Swam everyday in the wonderful warm outdoor pool & we weren’t limited by the weather to what we did each day. Many trips to the beaches and coffees enjoyed on the front which is an easy pleasant walk down the lane. Heron Cottage is perfect for 6 adults – very comfortable and clean with everything you could need. Enjoyed all the on-site facilities – we will be back next year!“
“Another lovely week at Broomhill Manor – lots to fun in the swimming pools and exploring the grounds. Ralph has just learnt to walk so it is great to let him be able to roam free in safety and find his feet! We have already booked for next year and looking forward to it!”
“A truly wonderful stay, our first visit to Broomhill and it won’t be our last. Our family with their four boys (ages 4-9 yrs) stayed in Manor Apartment which we loved (grandparents in Kingfisher). The boys couldn’t get enough of the pools, tennis and football on the front lawn, picnics in the lovely pond garden – all such amazing facilities here at Broomhill. Top marks, Alan and Linda for all your attention to detail!”
“Had a fantastic time – all amazing & all facilities excellent – thank you – good to be back again! Lovely touches everywhere & actually reasonable weather! Thank you”
“The perfect base for a wonderful holiday in Cornwall with kids. Our girls are aged 5 and 3 years, so we wanted somewhere with alternative activities should the weather be bad (pool etc). The weather this week has been pretty good but every day we’ve been back in time for a couple of hours in the pool / playroom (just to make sure they’re really tired!). We’ve done so much this holiday – pony riding, crabbing, bike riding, body boarding, pot making and hope they remember how much fun we had… PS: Us adults did the Archery on Tuesday – very good!”
“What a glorious find this place was. Spur of the moment last minute break to Bude – no regrets! Our girls age 5 and 3 loved the pool, the gardens and the hot tub. We loved the BBQ, comfy cottage, perfect location. Sad to leave ☹. Hope to return again. Thank you!”
“Wonderful time. Enjoyed clean & comfortable cottage with swimming pool right on doorstep. Friendly & helpful Alan – Thanks! Rented bikes just nearby & rode to beach – great activity! Bowling nearby for the showery weather. Thanks – would definitely do it again!”
“This is our first visit to Broomhill and it didn’t disappoint! Attempting to holiday and please kids age 16, 14, 11 and 8 isn’t easy, but Broomhill ticked all the boxes and everyone had a super week. Lots of memories made and for a family that “doesn’t do sport”, we chalked up an impressive list of activities. The cottage was clean, warm and most importantly had loads of radiators for drying towels etc. We found walking down the back lane into Bude quite easy. We enjoyed the archery and horse riding and went in the swimming pool everyday. The hot tub is a great bonus, especially sitting in it under the stars at the end of the day!”
“We have loved our stay in Grebe Cottage. We went to Crooklets, Widemouth and Summerleaze beaches… the boys (4 and 17 months) like Crooklets best because of all the distributaries to splash in. We ate in Waves – the fish goujons and chips were good and the staff were super friendly! The boys loved the playroom which was clean and bright, the sandpit and the pool and a ride on Rosie. I (mum) loved the beauty treatments and had 5!“
“If we stayed here again we would stay here for 2 weeks instead of 1! It’s been really fun. The games room was my favourite. Pool was a really fun game to play with my dad! The horse riding was really exciting (I have never been on a horse before) I felt really safe when we were at a slow trot. This was the Best Easter Ever”

“Another lovely week here at Broomhill. We also love the Olive Tree. Great gourmet burgers and lovely fish & chips from “The Plaice”.
Great walks: Port Quinn to Polzeath; left loop over the cliffs at Bude; left loop over cliffs from Boscastle (our favourite – we do every year!) Also scones from Lansdown Bakery with a tub of Cornish clotted cream. Our boys enjoyed tennis (we were lucky with the weather), the games room and of course the pool. A welcome break from the hustle & bustle of normal life – love, love, love the coast path around North Cornwall. Thanks to Alan and Linda as always.”
“First time here at Broomhill Manor, but I hope not the last time. Me and my family, we had a very good time. We enjoyed the area and the hospitality of Alan and Linda. The stay was great and would recommend to my friends to visit Broomhill Manor.
The kids enjoyed the pool, games room and outdoor play areas. Thank you for everything. Happy New Year!“
“We’ve had a great time here in spite of the weather, making good use of your tip-top on-site facilities. Only sorry it was too stormy to use the tidal pool in Bude. Carla says she likes the doggy cushion very much and all the pubs she’s been welcomed in, and running round on the sea-front on top of the cliffs. We’ll be back!”
“Our stay at Broomhill Manor was great, we thoroughly enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools! The Games room was excellent and we all enjoyed a game of pool! Overall the facilities were brilliant, there was always something to do. The weather during our stay was mostly bright and we either went to Crooklets or Summerleaze – both were excellent! We all enjoyed the Sea Pool very much!
The hot tub was extremely relaxing, especially after a long day of being on the beach! Both Alan and Linda were very kind and helpful. All in all we had an amazing time and will definitely be returning. Thank You!“
“We had a wonderful stay at the Grebe cottage. It was our second stay at Broomhill Manor. We went to Hidden Valley, Bude, Padstow and The Tree inn which had very tasty food. The indoor pool was nice and warm and the jacuzzi was very bubbly.“
William, age 8
“The facilities were really good and fun and I recommend doing the surfing schools as they were really fun. There are some really good coastal walks which are super interesting and the pools here are great as well. Everyone is super nice and it’s great but this pen is running out so it was really good….!“
“We’ve had a lovely holiday and have enjoyed staying at Broomhill Manor. We would definitely stay here again if we were to come back to Cornwall. Thank you to the amazing staff that ensured that our visit was the best it possibly could be.“
“We’ve had a great time at Broomhill despite the weather! Our 2 boys, aged 8 and 11, have enjoyed making full use of all the facilities here – tennis court, table tennis, pool and especially the indoor swimming pool.
We’ve also enjoyed body boarding at Widemouth Bay and visiting St Nectan’s Glen Waterfall, visiting Lanhydrock House, cycling around the fantastic bike trails and learning to surf at Summerleaze Beach. Thank you for a wonderful stay!”
“Thank you for having us! We loved your beautiful pools – and games room, and all the flowers!”
“Great fortnight staying in Cormorant. Loads to do in the area – Eden Project, Tintagel, Port Isaac. Would recommend a visit to Clovelly and cycling from Wadebridge to Padstow. Lots of nice places to eat in Bude – The deck and Elements particularly good. Kids loved the Sea Pool and couldn’t keep them out of the pools here!”
“We can highly recommend this lovely place. Alan & Linda have been exceptionally kind and thoughtful. We have ticked several boxes for activities new to us – archery at Red Elk, snooker, swimming in Bude Sea Pool, body boarding – phew, home for a rest!”
“We had a fantastic week at Broomhill Manor, we are already planning to come back! The weather was a mixed bag, 3 days of sunshine and 3 days of rain. We found lots to do and our almost 2 yr old twin boys especially enjoyed Crooklets Beach and Air Extreme in Barnstaple.
This was our first family holiday and we are so glad we chose Broomhill Manor. The facilities are fantastic and our cottage was beautiful. Hope to be back next year. Thanks for a great stay.”
“My favourite thing is the games room. I like the table tennis, maybe one more game in there. I like the swimming pools they are very good. I like the cottages the beds are nice and comfy. It is nice and sunny here. It is really fun here and I don’t want to go back home. I really like it here and I hope we come back next year!”
Emma (age 9)
“We have had a wonderful time at Broomhill Manor. We went in the swimming pool almost every day and we went on pony rides. My favourite pony was Danii he was so cute! I would recommend Widemouth Bay as it has really interesting stones and rocks. I would also recommend the café called Rosie’s café near Crooklets Beach because it has really nice fish and chips! We also tried the sauna it was really HOT!!!”
Rosa aged 9
“We have had such a wonderful week and been spoilt with the weather! Sandpiper was perfect, especially with the hot tub. Our children have been able to play and play which is fantastic! So much to choose from. They have loved the indoor & outdoor pools, the lawn, the swings – everything!
We have loved our holiday! Thank you!”
“We have all really enjoyed staying here at Broomhill Manor. Woodlark is a comfortable cottage. I would recommend the games room and swimming pool. We had a lovely time and went surfing and horse riding. My horse was called Lucy. Surfing was really fun with Scott. (Bude Surf Experience).
The Hot Tub was really relaxing and Hot. Mummy and daddy had Hazels massages. The pool table in the games room was really relaxing. Thank you Broomhill Manor”
“Absolutely loved our time here. We are already planning a return trip for 2018! Alan is so kind and helpful. The facilities are wonderful and we felt “at home” immediately. Sienna LOVED her horse ride and swimming, and we loved the relaxed atmosphere and a night at the Preston Gate Inn (Thank you Justy (baby sitter) – you went above and beyond!).
We loved Sandymouth beach with the waterfalls and endless rock pools and pebbles. Summerleaze also great for little ones as it’s shallow for paddling. Can’t wait to come back”
“We came 25 years ago for the first time; we’ll be back next year”
“This was our first stay at Broomhill Manor. Alan and Linda went out of their way to make sure this felt like a very special family holiday.
We were very lucky with the weather which made visits to the beaches lots of fun for our boys. On the one day there was a little rain we went to the Eden Project, just one hour away.
Would definitely come back again.”
“What a wonderful stay we had – a superb family holiday with our daughter and family staying in nearby Woodlark. We appreciated the cream tea on our arrival and the immmaculate cottage so well equipped. The grounds are delightful and we came the right week with sunny weather and flowers and shrubs and trees beginning to burst into bloom. What great memories we have and hope to return one day.”
“Thank you for another excellent week. We have lost count of how many times we have come; 8 or 9 we think. We were too late booking last Easter and had to go to another cottage with similar but inferior set up at Widemouth. Our return speaks for itself.
As the fledglings are flying the nest, not sure we will all be back again, but I hope most of us will. We have seldom been rained on here and love the facilities”
“I have spent 4 days here, solo to rest and recuperate. It’s been a wonderful break and I have been so comfortable and cosy at Fulmar. It has all you need and a very comfy bed. The facilities have been excellent and the owners extremely attentive and kind. Thank You!”
“A great week spent at Broomhill Manor. Weather a little up and down, but it is only March! Alan and Linda are very welcoming & friendly – they had all of the toddler kit we asked for already, plus some bits we didn’t ask for all set up in Kingfisher when we arrived.
The on-site facilities were great for us and our two year old – the pool is lovely & very safe for family swimming, and the outdoor play area also went down well. We even had a little dance in the bar to the original “Rockola” juke box which was loads of fun! Bude is a nice little town, all the beaches are pretty and accessible too with pasties and scones a plenty!”
“Our 7th trip to Broomhill in the last 5 years. It never disappoints us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hot-tub was a real bonus and Cormorant is a great cottage to stay in. We did lots of horse riding and went in the swimming pool almost every day. We also enjoyed the games room and long country walks. 🙂 Everyone should go to The Tree Inn, but we also enjoyed The Preston Gate and Rosie’s. We enjoy going to use the Broomhill bar for drinks and playing lots of games.” Emily (9) and Alex (6) and Family
“Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in a magical place. Being in the hot tub under the stars was truly magical. The dogs loved the beaches – and the dog biscuits! We’ll be back next year.”
