“This is our first visit to Broomhill and it didn’t disappoint! Attempting to holiday and please kids age 16, 14, 11 and 8 isn’t easy, but Broomhill ticked all the boxes and everyone had a super week. Lots of memories made and for a family that “doesn’t do sport”, we chalked up an impressive list of activities. The cottage was clean, warm and most importantly had loads of radiators for drying towels etc. We found walking down the back lane into Bude quite easy. We enjoyed the archery and horse riding and went in the swimming pool everyday. The hot tub is a great bonus, especially sitting in it under the stars at the end of the day!”

“We have loved our stay in Grebe Cottage. We went to Crooklets, Widemouth and Summerleaze beaches… the boys (4 and 17 months) like Crooklets best because of all the distributaries to splash in. We ate in Waves – the fish goujons and chips were good and the staff were super friendly! The boys loved the playroom which was clean and bright, the sandpit and the pool and a ride on Rosie. I (mum) loved the beauty treatments and had 5!

“If we stayed here again we would stay here for 2 weeks instead of 1! It’s been really fun. The games room was my favourite. Pool was a really fun game to play with my dad! The horse riding was really exciting (I have never been on a horse before) I felt really safe when we were at a slow trot. This was the Best Easter Ever”

“Another lovely week here at Broomhill. We also love the Olive Tree. Great gourmet burgers and lovely fish & chips from “The Plaice”.
Great walks: Port Quinn to Polzeath; left loop over the cliffs at Bude; left loop over cliffs from Boscastle (our favourite – we do every year!) Also scones from Lansdown Bakery with a tub of Cornish clotted cream. Our boys enjoyed tennis (we were lucky with the weather), the games room and of course the pool. A welcome break from the hustle & bustle of normal life – love, love, love the coast path around North Cornwall. Thanks to Alan and Linda as always.”

“We’ve had a great time here in spite of the weather, making good use of your tip-top on-site facilities. Only sorry it was too stormy to use the tidal pool in Bude. Carla says she likes the doggy cushion very much and all the pubs she’s been welcomed in, and running round on the sea-front on top of the cliffs. We’ll be back!”

Overall the facilities were brilliant, there was always something to do. The weather during our stay was mostly bright and we either went to Crooklets or Summerleaze – both were excellent! We all enjoyed the Sea Pool very much!

The hot tub was extremely relaxing, especially after a long day of being on the beach! Both Alan and Linda were very kind and helpful. All in all we had an amazing time and will definitely be returning. Thank You!

There are some really good coastal walks which are super interesting and the pools here are great as well. Everyone is super nice and it’s great but this pen is running out so it was really good….!

“We had a fantastic week at Broomhill Manor, we are already planning to come back! The weather was a mixed bag, 3 days of sunshine and 3 days of rain. We found lots to do and our almost 2 yr old twin boys especially enjoyed Crooklets Beach and Air Extreme in Barnstaple.

This was our first family holiday and we are so glad we chose Broomhill Manor. The facilities are fantastic and our cottage was beautiful. Hope to be back next year. Thanks for a great stay.”

Would definitely come back again.”

“What a wonderful stay we had – a superb family holiday with our daughter and family staying in nearby Woodlark. We appreciated the cream tea on our arrival and the immmaculate cottage so well equipped. The grounds are delightful and we came the right week with sunny weather and flowers and shrubs and trees beginning to burst into bloom. What great memories we have and hope to return one day.”

The Henson Family stayed in Swallow and Woodlark, April 2017

“Thank you for another excellent week. We have lost count of how many times we have come; 8 or 9 we think. We were too late booking last Easter and had to go to another cottage with similar but inferior set up at Widemouth. Our return speaks for itself.

As the fledglings are flying the nest, not sure we will all be back again, but I hope most of us will. We have seldom been rained on here and love the facilities”

“A great week spent at Broomhill Manor. Weather a little up and down, but it is only March! Alan and Linda are very welcoming & friendly – they had all of the toddler kit we asked for already, plus some bits we didn’t ask for all set up in Kingfisher when we arrived.

The on-site facilities were great for us and our two year old – the pool is lovely & very safe for family swimming, and the outdoor play area also went down well. We even had a little dance in the bar to the original “Rockola” juke box which was loads of fun! Bude is a nice little town, all the beaches are pretty and accessible too with pasties and scones a plenty!”

The White family stayed in Kingfisher, March 2017

“Our 7th trip to Broomhill in the last 5 years. It never disappoints us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hot-tub was a real bonus and Cormorant is a great cottage to stay in. We did lots of horse riding and went in the swimming pool almost every day. We also enjoyed the games room and long country walks. 🙂 Everyone should go to The Tree Inn, but we also enjoyed The Preston Gate and Rosie’s. We enjoy going to use the Broomhill bar for drinks and playing lots of games.” Emily (9) and Alex (6) and Family

“First time at Broomhill and we all had a super time! So much to do both on site and in the surrounding area. With 2 young boys in tow (3yrs & 10 months) it was great to stay somewhere fully equipped for little ones. Certainly lessened the stress of packing & all the usual baggage!  Visited lots of the local attractions including Tamar Otter Sanctuary….Launceston Steam Train to New Mills Activity Farm….Eden Project…Summerleaze and Crooklets beaches…

The Wink family stayed in Swallow and Sandpiper, September 2016

“We’ve had a lovely week, thank you Alan & Linda. The weather has been mixed – but the beauty of Broomhill and why we booked, is that there’s plenty to entertain a toddler in the rain! We’ve been to the beach many times (Summerleaze & Crooklets). Recommend Crooklets with the little one for the play areas. We ate at Rosie’s a couple of times too. Our 18 month old son had his first pony ride on Suzie. In fact it was a holiday of firsts as I got to pull my first pint in the bar! The place has really exceeded our expectations!”

The Healey family stayed in Cormorant, September 2016

“We arrived home yesterday from a week at Broomhill & just wanted to say thankyou for making our stay so comfortable. We stayed in Swallow & our family in Chough. The cottages were of a very high standard & very comfortable & very well equipped. You have thought of everything. The whole complex has a lovely family atmosphere & is very peaceful at night. We enjoyed the two pools & picnicked in the lovely gardens which are very well cared for. The laundry & games room are a great thing to have on sight & again very well looked after. We will definitely be returning to Broomhill & recommend it to our friends.”

The Bazely family stayed in Swallow and Chough, September 2016

“This is our first stay at Broomhill Manor and it won’t be our last. The cottage has everything you need which was great as so often this isn’t the case and I’m sure if we needed anything it would have been provided. Our girls (13+11) have had a brilliant time and have used the pools and games room on a daily basis and even when the weather hasn’t been to good there’s been plenty to keep them busy.

Finally the stables. Brilliant. The staff are very friendly and my girls who both ride, have learnt a lot from Katie. The horses and ponies are well looked after and very good for either beginning or more experienced riders. I would highly recommend a lesson or hack.

We intend to come back next year and I hope you have a holiday as good as we have!”

The Thomson family stayed in Puffin, August 2016

“Another amazing week at Broomhill Manor. The cottage was so cosy and welcoming. The hot tub was such a bonus as we used it almost every night. The weather has been beautiful, which has made the refurbished pool a sun trap.

Thanks for a good stay, hope to see you soon!”

The Slack family stayed in Nightingale, August 2016

“Another wonderful week at Broomhill. Really enjoyed the outdoor pool and its temperature! The double decker bunk bed was a real hit with the little ones, who will surely be disappointed to return home to a normal bed! We also took part in the archery again this year and had a great time. I would really recommend the archery to everyone. The children were overjoyed at the pony rides they had and I should have booked for ourselves to ride with them so that we could share the experience.

Thanks for another lovely week!”

The Howell family stayed in Woodpecker, August 2016

“This is a great place to vacation for a family. We had a blast! The children really loved the swimming pools which they used almost everyday.
