Play Areas

Children love to explore the various play areas here!  There’s a wooden fort, with tower, tunnel, climbing net and a second fort with swings, a lookout tower, slide and climbing ropes.  There is also a trampoline (good for the grown-ups too!) and a wooden play house.  There is a sandpit and Wendy house which the children adore and plenty of room for ball games on the vast front lawn.

Heated Outdoor Pool

Set within a walled terrace, the heated outdoor pool is often a sun trap – a great place to relax on a sun lounger with a good book and enjoy the rays!  The outdoor pool is open during the summer months (normally from May half term until September).

Pony and Horse Rides

And then of course there are the horses suitable for all ages and abilities – from ponies for toddlers through to something much larger for mum or dad to have a go, too!  Our Shetland ponies, Susie and Missy are firm favourites with the little ones!

Gardens and Grounds

Broomhill Manor cottages are set in an idyllic and peaceful location within acres of beautifully maintained gardens (thanks to the dedication and hard work of Jen and Liz – not forgetting Simon’s regular use of the ride-on and his demon strimmer!) Each year over 100 hanging baskets are planted out to adorn the cottages with their spectacular display of colour and fragrant scents. The grounds are also shared by a wide variety of wild life – you might be lucky enough to spot the odd kingfisher, badger, red deer and of course the many birds, squirrels and rabbits that regard Broomhill Manor as their home!
