If you have been following the saga, you will know that in 2014, Bude achieved the Bronze Award for Best UK Coastal Resort and last year this was eclipsed, by achieving the GOLD! You can help us do it again!
The British Travel Awards are particularly important to Bude and the tourism industry, since the awards are voted for by the public.
Well this year, in Olympic style, we are going for the double to see whether we can retain the GOLD and to do that we need your help! Please support Bude’s bid for Gold by voting and asking everyone you know to do the same!
This year, Bude is up against Blackpool, Brighton, Penbrokshire, Tenby and Whitby and there is a very real chance that Bude could scoop the GOLD award for a second time.
You can support Visit Bude on Facebook, and share on your Facebook page to encourage voting, or you can Vote directly from this link:
It’s very easy to vote, and only takes a minute! Your support is appreciated!
About Bude, North Cornwall
The first stop in Cornwall, where Cornwall begins – Bude is often the sunniest place in the UK – in fact during 2013 it was the sunniest place overall). The area has a laid-back charm that has not been spoiled by development and is traditional in a cherished way.
There are oodles of beautiful beaches, spectacular views and unique natural attractions including the highest cliffs in Cornwall and one of the few sea canals in the country. Other highlights include the Sea Pool, the Life Saving School (established back in 1955), the annual Festival’s – especially Bude for Food and the Jazz Festival.
Bude is large enough to provide a good range of facilities with a choice of accommodation, shops, restaurants and sports facilities, yet has avoided the attention of major chains. The nightlife is quiet, relaxed and low-key. They say good things come in small packages – they certainly do when it comes to Bude!
