“What a beautiful, peaceful & relaxing venue. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Broomhill Manor – it was home from home. Thank you for making us welcome. We will definitely come back here. Thank you for having us!!“
“Lovely place and friendly people, even if the weather was a mixed bag!! Comfortable cottage, good walks. Definitely would recommend Nicky’s meals. Great meal at the Preston Gate Inn, Poughill.
Enjoyable time riding (friendly girls). Beautiful gardens to enjoy. Ran out time to use all the facilities available. Would be looking to come back in the future and recommending to friends and family.“
“We have had an amazing time with extended family. The cottages were made for each family. Lots to do for the kids. Loved the pool. Lots of things to do. We had fun days, sports days, BBQs.
Thank you so much Alan and Linda for making our holiday so much fun. “
“Lovely cottage. Enjoyed the grounds & the swimming pool. Lots of dog-friendly beaches. The best we found was Sandymouth Bay (National Trust). It was gorgeous!!
Wish we could have stayed longer!! We will be back!!”
“It’s been 20 years since we have stayed at Broomhill. We were so excited to find it has retained all its charm. Fulmar was an excellent base. We enjoyed all the local beaches and used the sea water pool! Brrr!! Our daughter was able to visit the stables and was well looked after by Ellie & Lisa on the two hacks she enjoyed. I’m sure it will not be another 20 years before we return!”
“We have a lovely few days in Cornwall and thoroughly enjoyed our first time in Dunlin. We found the cottage and all of the facilities to be extremely clean. The children enjoyed the tennis, indoor pool and games room. We will be considering a return later in the year.
A beautiful place and safe haven for children.”
“A lovely cottage – cosying up on the sofas and with all we could need – from hairdryer to porchlight, to cafetiere and wifi. So much enjoyed the glorious grounds; the circular lawn, woodland, pools, the lovely manor house in its glorious setting. And all the lanes around for exploring to St Olaf’s Poughill, Stamford Hill and Stratton. Everything is immaculately kept – hedges, lawns, greenhouses and every aspect of the cottage. We are considering a spring return to swim, improve fitness in the gym, trek the coastal walks, retreat into the characterful pubs, catch up on reading and glory in the peace – physical and psychological therapy combined! A beautiful place.”
“We had a great time here. We have come 3 times now and it has been great. PS: Thank you to Alan and Linda.
Places to go: The Milky Way, Eden Project, Summerleaze Beach, a shop in Bude called Costumes, Rosie’s Kitchen, Widemouth Bay café
This is an amazing place to stay and that is why we have come back three times! “
“This was our first visit to Broomhill but it will definitely not be our last! We have had walks along the beach and surfing n the waves. We have also been walking on the cliffs. We found a really good place to fly our kite – on the cliffs in a cow field. The hot tub in the garden was great on chilly days and it had disco lights. I also really enjoyed the indoor pool as it was so warm and the horse riding. WE HAD A GREAT TIME! We will definitely come back again”
“We have had an amazing stay here at Broomhill and we are very sad to be going home. The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped for everything including cake making which the children requested we did. We thoroughly enjoyed swimming every day and the horse riding was excellent. Would definitely recommend The Tree Inn for a lovely meal out with great service and for children, The Milky Way was a fantastic day out. We will definitely be returning again to Broomhill. Thank you!”
“We all had a lovely stay in the fantastic Sandpiper. Every possible thing we needed for us 4 adults and 2 children provided. Our sons enjoyed the bar & hot-tub and we all made use of the pool, which was great for us and the children. Went to Bude beach & shops and to The Tree for Sunday roast. Used the lovely playroom and outdoor play grounds for the toddler, 3 and baby, 9 months. All spotless as always. Thanks again, we will be back!”
“Thank you for a very relaxing and enjoyable visit to Broomhill Manor. This is our second visit and we hope that it will not be our last. We enjoyed meals out at the Brendon Arms and Falcon Hotel….. We visited many local beaches, and Morwenstow – Hawker’s Hut, where there was a tea room and The Bush Inn. Hartland Quay is also interesting to visit”
“Had a wonderful time here at Broomhill Manor, with the warm welcome and our visits to this outstandingly beautiful part of the UK, a great week! We thoroughly enjoyed every minute and clearly the dogs did too!! Highly recommended and we will be returning for sure.”
“PERFECT! The dogs really enjoyed Sandymouth beach at low tide had an amazing sunset walk there. Everything we wanted and a hot tub, great bonus!”
Breeze and Jake (their Collies!)
“Our first stay at Broomhill Manor. Everything is of a good quality with a wide range of sporting activities available. Our family group ranged in age from 19 months to knocking on 70 and we all had a good time – swimming outdoors and indoors, tennis, horse-riding, snooker, kiddies’ games etc. ie something for everyone. Although there are 18 holiday lets it is not crowded or noisy – in fact the peace and quiet of the location was much enjoyed…… in Summary, an excellent holiday location and facilities.”
“A great return to Bude after a long time! Many changes but the town is still as lovely as ever and Broomhill is a great find. The kids loved the horse riding- we went nearly every day – plus the tennis and swimming. We managed to get into town and loved the beaches, plus caught a few waves. Great to be out and about so much and to entertain the kids without going very far. Thank you for having us and hopefully we’ll see you again soon. Seagull is lovely and has all we needed. Very much appreciated your help connecting us to St.Petroc’s again – a lot of happy memories. Many thanks for everything.”
“We had a lovely time here and recommend Bude sea pool. The facilities were great and we loved the riding. We also came here last year so we knew how good it was. ”
Charlotte (Age 9)
“We really liked it in Grebe. We went to the beaches and they were called Summerleaze, Northcott, Sandymouth. I found interesting things. We went to the Eden project. As well as plants there were lots of spacey type things. We went to Tintagel and climbed up a very long height and saw about King Arthur. I loved the cottage. You can get a pony ride. The Manor and the swimming pool is fun. In the games room you can play table tennis, table football and pool.”
“It was a great holiday and it was a mix of weathers. The bunk beds were really comfy. We loved the inside and outside swimming pools. We also enjoyed the tennis court, horse riding and archery. We went to a lot of beaches Sandymouth, Summerleaze, Crooklets and Widemouth. The games room was good as well. re happy to let the kids explore the grounds by themselves – they didn’t go far! The Restaurants we went to were good, The Beach, The Deck, The Weir, Tree Inn and the Olive Tree. PS the cottage was really nice!”
“We booked this last minute and both my daughter & I had a great time. The whole of the estate is fab and has ALL & more. Bude has lovely beaches and very friendly people. We didn’t want to leave and have started looking at when to book back again. This cottage is cosy and very peaceful and the grounds are beautiful. We will be back that is for sure. Thank you, Alan & Linda.”
